Educentre
The Sozo Educentre is our after-school tutoring and mentorship programme for high school learners from the Vrygrond community. Educentre provides a safe space for 105 high school learners (between the ages of 13 – 18 years) to be equipped and empowered within their own community to achieve their full potential.
General Education Diploma
We have recently introduced a General Education Diploma (GED) option to our Youth Café students. GED is a South African Grade 12, National Senior Certificate Equivalent; UK: A-Level; New Zealand: NCEA and the globally recognized International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. We are providing 6 youths with an opportunity to complete their GED in 2023.
Emerge Leadership
Our one-year leadership programme is run within our after-school programme with 20 to 30 learners. The aim is to provide young people with tools and skills to become young leaders who are empowered to implement change within their education, home, and community environments.
